Seoul and Jeju studio prices, the difference between studio and outdoor shoots, and what couples from abroad should book first.
Korean pre-wedding photography is the reason many couples come to Seoul or Jeju in the first place. Here is the shape of it.
Seoul photography packages listed on VOWTOYOU run ₩1,320,000 – ₩2,970,000. A Jeju hair and makeup package is listed from ₩350,000. These are the vendors' own published starting prices.
A studio shoot is the classic Korean look: controlled light, several set changes, retouching that is part of the craft rather than an add-on. It is weather-proof, which matters if you are flying in for three days.
An outdoor shoot — palace grounds in Seoul, coastline and oreum in Jeju — depends on season and permits. Autumn and spring are peak for a reason, and that is when dates close first.
Many couples do a half day of each. If you are choosing one, choose for the weather risk of your travel window, not the photos you saw on Instagram in a different month.
Ask three things, in writing:
1. How many edited images, and whether you also receive the unedited originals. 2. The delivery window. Korean studios often deliver in 30 to 60 days; peak season is longer. 3. What hair, makeup and dress rental cost, and whether they are bundled. In Korea these are frequently a separate vendor, and that is where a "cheap" package stops being cheap.
Book the photographer before the flights. Good studios close weekend dates in peak season months ahead, and the date decides everything else — makeup, dress rental, and whether you need a second day as a buffer for rain.
